By Alyson Grigsby CT Visionary

Attention seniors, as we continue within the school year many scholarship deadlines are approaching quickly; don’t wait until the last minute to start applying, it’s never too early to start getting that much needed college aid.

As well as the monthly scholarship newsletter on the counseling suite’s TeacherWeb, there are a plethora of scholarship databases to help direct towards scholarships geared to you. All you need are a few bits of information such as your GPA, test scores if applicable, and other additional information.  These scholarship databases include:

  • Cappex.com
  • Chegg.com
  • Scholarshipexperts.com
  • Fastweb.com
  • Scholarships.com
  • The College Board
  • Black College Dollars (Sallie Mae Fund)
  • Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Scholarship Resource List
  • Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

Don’t forget to check with our scholarship adviser Monica Jones as well as the Senior File Cabinet in the Counseling Suite for additional information.

Also, important dates to watch out for:

  • Nov. 9: Grand Valley State University Onsite

  • Oct. 30: Deadline for Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship
