Renaissance: Vandal Attack has Renaissance wondering Whodunit

By Arianna Smith Stentor Editor

Renaissance students got the shock of their week early Friday morning when they passed through security on the schools' upperclassmen entrance.

During the night, a vandal tagged the outside of the building with crude drawings and extremely inappropriate remarks in bright red and black spray paint for the entire school to see.

“I mean, their art work was horrible. The effect is really lost on anyone with a real education,” said senior Jane Clinton. “It’s kind of funny, really.”

Most students laughed off the juvenile attempt at possible revenge, but to the administration office the attack is anything but humorous.

“It’s nothing but ignorance,” said vice principal Grady. “Right now we have no actual leads on who could have done this. We’re just focused on getting it cleaned up expeditiously, then moving forward.”

The rumors floating around the school point to everything from disgruntled former students to rival schools simmering over sports losses.

“Some people think it’s the students that got suspended for uniform.” said senior Sydneah Burnett. “Or kids that couldn’t cut it here and got kicked out.”

Nothing is concrete yet. The attack is so new that the paint has hardly dried, and no evidence or leads have been uncovered.

“At this time, we don’t have any information on why this happened. But something will turn up,” said a security officer.
