Softball season has begun, and the Lady Phoenix are looking forward to a positive and great season and going all the way to a repeat championship year.
“We plan on going all the way to the championship again. We have been working really hard over the past couple of months, and we have an excellent group of ladies. This season will be great!” said sophomore Taylor Gaines.
This is not Gaines’s first time playing softball, but this is her first time playing ‘Renaissance Softball,’ the differences vary.
“There are things that have made me better. We have harder Coaches that actually push us and more intense workouts. The Coaches are great at what they do and they treat us like the champions that we are,” said Gaines.
The Lady Phoenix’s first Game was Wednesday, March 25, and they kicked off the season with a win. And what other way to kick off the season than with a great win.
”We are very excited for this season. We have been practicing very hard. Our Coach pushes us to be the best and these season is going to be the best! Just wait on it,” said senior Breanna Lawrence.
