More than 130 students attended the Tigers baseball game on April 16 to celebrate the end of the state testing. Students had to complete their tests and come to school everyday the week of April 8.
Students were tested electronically with the new SAT online test. This test also included an essay that had to be completed online. The young people who attended all the school days were invited to the baseball game.
The students were excited to attend the game.
“We really had an opportunity to see all of those great plays. This is an awesome trip,” said senior Tionne Fluellen.
The chaperones said the students had a wonderful time.
Chaperone and Cody counselor Justin Armstrong said, “The kids had a great time and we got them all back safely without incidents.”
The students were given a special shout out on the big screen, and they were even videotaped in for the big screen. The students enjoyed their day in the ballpark with their friends. The event was great with a win for the Tigers, who beat the Texas Rangers, 4-2.
