On April 25, Cody athletes were honored in a special program for male students. Students were introduced to professional football players and motivational speakers.
At the BECOMING HIM: A Student Athlete Manhood Preparation Summit on April 25, Cody students were given a great chance for athletes to shine and show their growth. Students were able to shake hands with NFL athletes and speak with motivational speakers.
The conference gave students an idea of life when they graduate from high school. It is important that the students include seniors who could share their opinion of school and their future.
Freshman Quran Haten-Harper received special acknowledgment for a prize-winning essay he wrote to the NFL. Haten-Harper was honored at an awards ceremony on April 26 at a high school athletic breakfast held for students in Detroit Public Schools Community District.
