Senior class officers set goals for year

Demarcus Taylor, president

“As leaders of our class, we must maintain our academic standard. We must continue moving forward instead of backward. Our aim is higher. We must move towards the highest ground.”

Erin Martin, vice-president

“Some of my goals that I hope to accomplish during my time in office would be changing some of the venues for our senior outings and increasing assistance with scholarship and grant applications.”

Jasmine Givens, secretary

“My goals are to enforce all senior activities, keep the president on track, be a voice for all seniors, and try to put together a parent group.”

Emmulese Martin, treasurer

“Some of my goals I would like to accomplish while in office are making sure things are organized and presented clearly, making things less difficult for the students and parents, and last but not least, making sure things get done the right way."

Camille Roebuck, sergeant-at-arm

“I hope to restore order in the 12th grade class. I will support the president in all the decisions we make. I hope to maintain control of all meetings that we attend.”

Nicole Herring, class historian

“I plan to document our success, leadership, and progress made throughout the years at Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School from 9th grade to present and to give our class something that we can later look back and reflect on.”
