Loyola High School’s debaters are on the rise.

Two of the school's debaters, sophomores Kyle McBeth and Elijah Stringer are traveling to Salt Lake City the second week of June for Utah where they will be competing against the top debating teams in the country.

The two young men earned the opportunity to compete at the national level after they qualified during a tournament at Wayne State in March. Their final score was, 5-1.

"I'm super excited to competing against other outstanding teams for Loyola,” Stringer said. “This is a huge accomplishment for me and Loyola. I can't wait."
