Douglass senior Littleton wins again at SkillsUSA

On April 8-10, Douglass senior Rashad Littleton competed in SkillsUSA Michigan State competition at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids. For the second year in a row, he won first place.

Littleton competed with students in career and technical programs throughout the state of Michigan and won the Gold, receiving outstanding scores on portfolio and job interview skills questions.

“I won in the year 2015 and 2016 school year,” said Littleton.

“My adviser Mrs. Coleman pushed me to practice everyday,” he said. “She allowed me to gain confidence in myself, to win and bring the gold back to Golightly Tech Center.”

Littleton has a philosophy for success: “Just be yourself and have fun.”
