Pistons' Drummond makes most of All-Star opportunity

The NBA All-Star game, held on Feb. 14 in Toronto, marked a big opportunity for the Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond. Playing alongside the East’s star players LeBron James and Paul George could boost the young player’s career.

“Drummond has averaged a double-double all throughout the season (17 points and,15 rebounds per game) and deserves the starting center position,” said senior Torrez Hayes.

Drummond is the Pistons’ first player to appear in the All-Star game since Allen Iverson in 2009.

“Drummond’s appearance will show the entire league that the Pistons are the next big threat out of the east and hopefully draw more global fans,” said freshman Jordan Brown.

Drummond entering the All-Star Game is something all Detroit sport fans can enjoy.
