East English Village dance teacher Rosalind Leath, who is also the Michigan Delegate for National Dance Week hosted a Dance Awareness Zumba class for staff, parents, students and the community on April 28. “The purpose of Dance Awareness week is to expose and introduce as many people as possible to the enjoyment and benefits of dance through the promotion of dance in schools,” Leath said. Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere.
